Pick Your V4 Breaker Bar

Want both sizes? The V4 Long & Short Sampler Pack includes the two.

Breaker Bar, Cheater Bar or Torque Bar?

On a shipping container door, they all mean the same thing: a bar that lengthens the latch handle so you can turn rusted, stiff or iced-over lockrods with less effort. The longer the bar, the more leverage you get from the same pull. That's why the V4 extension bars go up to 34 or 42 inches. You can stand clear of the door and use your legs and body weight instead of your back.

Built for Triangular Container Handles

The V4's deep mouth is designed for triangular container levers as well as standard and rubber-sleeved handles, and the double ergonomic grip gives two-handed control.

Use It Safely

V4 bars are for container latches and similar leverage tasks. Don't use one as a pipe extension on wrenches or tools not designed for that force. Inspect the bar before each use, wear gloves and eye protection, and make sure it's securely seated before you pull. See our full Company and Products Disclaimer.

FAQ

Which V4 should I choose?
The regular V4 suits most doors. Choose the short extension for a lighter bar that still reaches 34 inches, or the long extension for maximum leverage on the toughest doors.

Can I add a 5th wheel release hook?
Yes. The hook is optional on V4, or get the V4 5th Wheel Release Version with the hook and extension included.

How do I open a stuck container door?
See our step-by-step guide, or compare all models on our shipping container leverage bars page.
